The Body Shop Spa Wisdom Africa Honey & Beeswax Hand and Foot Butter

Spa Wisdom™ Africa Honey & Beeswax Hand and Foot Butter - Foot Care
  • Best if you want to: Pamper your hard-working hands and feet with rich hydration from an intensive moisturizing treatment with skin softening ximenia oil from Africa that will leave skin feeling soft, supple and subtly scented with our traditional Spa Wisdom™ Africa fragrance. Particularly effective on hardworking hands and feet or any very dry areas such as elbows and knees.

  • Best for: all skin types, particularly those with very dry skin

  • How it works:
    • Lanolin is one of nature’s richest moisturizers and is readily absorbed, so it provides good protection for rough, dry skin.
    • Community Trade shea butter and Community Trade organic honey moisturize and soften skin.
    • Organic Community Trade beeswax moisturizes and conditions skin while acting as a barrier to help seal in moisture.
    • Ximenia, an oil extracted from the ximenia tree native to Africa, helps soften the skin.

    Key Ingredients

    Organic beeswax

Moisturizes and helps to condition dry skin, especially on your lips and around the fingernail beds. Acts as a barrier that helps to seal in moisture. Helps to keep product texture consistent when used over time. Plays a part in protecting and preserving the forest as well as providing necessary income for the beekeepers, an increasing number of which are now women.
Our Community Trade beeswax is sourced from the Adamaoua Region of Northern Cameroon, through an organization called Guide d'Espoir (Guide for Hope).

    Organic honey

Moisturizes and helps condition the skin. Helps protect and preserve the forest as well as providing necessary income for beekeepers, an increasing number of which are now women.
Community Trade organic Honey comes from the remote tropical forests of northwest Zambia, where it's farmed using traditional methods that preserve the forest and beekeepers' way of life. By choosing to buy items containing Zambian Community Traded honey, you're helping to preserve an ancient way of life.

    Shea butter

Moisturizes and helps soften the skin. Also provides a rural community of women with regular work and income.

Shea butter is one of nature's great moisturizers. Ghanaian women have used it for centuries to protect their skin from the dry Saharan winds. So who better to buy ours from than the Tungteiya Shea Butter Association, Northern Ghana. An association of around 400 women from 10 villages, we ensure a fair price for their product. Since trading with The Body Shop the women have been able to dramatically change their lives with water pipes and wells saving hours of water collecting, better housing, medical care, food, and self esteem. Importantly, they are also able to give their children, particularly their daughters, the chance to go to school.

    Ximenia

Derived from the ximenia fruit that is native to Africa, ximenia seed oil is is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, making it is a very effective hair oil, rich conditioner and skin softener.

Thoughts-This helps with my cracked feet. Its not greasy and make my feet soft and smooth. The smell is heavenly! I like to put this on and massage my tired aching feet after showering. I have happy feet now.
