Brighten Your Day
Orange looks delightful on toes, and no color is making bigger waves this month than Essie's new Braziliant ($8) hue.
Crack Yourself Up
Textured "crackle" polishes are definitely the effect of the year. With warm weather, though, the moody black and white combinations have given way to bright, happy textured colors like this sea blue, as well as silver and white. Nicole's collection of summery crackle shades will debut this month.
The newest entrant into the speed-drying category is Milani's High Speed Fast Dry polish. The brand has a lot of great warm-weather colors to offer, but a standout is Racy Green, an on-trend teal that dries to an ultraglittery finish. The limited-edition colors will be hitting shelves this month.
Pamper Your Peds
Julep's newest polishes make for bright toes in summery but sophisticated shades. Try Blake ($14), a creamy buttercup shade that's fun without looking unprofessional.
Hang Loose
MAC's new Surf, Baby nail polishes are as laid-back and beachy as you'd imagine them to be, particularly Hangin' Loose ($15). The creamy, light pink-beige looks polished enough for a business meeting but has a small kick of rose in it that keeps the color fashionable.
Add a Spot of Cream
Colors that look like melting sherbet are perfect for a subtle but seasonally appropriate look. This Topshop shade, Pool Party ($8 each), is a highly pigmented pastel that's more cool-girl than demure.
Pitch a Tint
Revlon's newest polish launch is Just Tinted (available at drugstores now), which gives your nails a transparent wash of color. For a versatile option try the Victorian shade, layering it over a beige polish to create a creamy candy effect, or wearing it on its own to give your nails a sheer color veil.
Get Pretty in Pink
Pink nails are a classic, but they're especially appealing when the mercury is high. Regardless of what your favorite pink is, OPI's latest flower-inspired collection, Nice Stems, has a shade that's sure to please, like the glitter-filled I Lily Love You ($5).
Feel Groovy
Urban Decay's new Rollergirl nail kit ($28) hearkens back to the trippiest parts of the disco era, with polishes like Love Train, Fame, Superfreak, and Xanadu. While they're all pretty fun to try, the bright-pink Woodstock is a definite winner.
Fluro Fun
Are you hipster enough for the neon trend? Take things up another notch with fluorescent polish, like Pop Beauty's Grass ($10), and tell your DayGlo friends that you're already on to the next trend.
What Is Your Favorite Polish This Month?
Julep's Nail polish yellow shade is so unbelievably pretty. If I'll paint my nails this color, I'm sure I would want to eat my nails!! :D :D)
