Today I have something a little different for my blog, and I'll be honest, I was a bit nervous about it! I’m one of those girls who always has her nails painted.  Always, But I have never down or had gel nails. I’m sure that by now you have heard all about how innovative gel manicures are. And they are a game changer. Gel polish dries faster than regular polish and stays chip-free and remains shiny FOR WEEKS–all for around the same cost as a regular manicure.

Pigmentation/Texture

This polish is thick texture , but self-leveling, so wipe the excess from the brush and start in on your nails or you will have boo boo's gloppiness and uneven polish applications. Gelogic gel polish is very very pigmented , this color in the bottle is what you will get when you apply to your nails!

The packaging is a whole lot of plastic , but what can you do about it , anyways  the polish itself is a sleek bottle , the bottle is colored to the shade you will get inside the bottle which is very helpful ,The bottle come in a plastic blanket type packaging that is enclosed in  a plastic box type package , the packaging is very cute with graphics  , it also contains all the info , instructions and how to use the gel polish .Gelogic nail polish retails for $7.99 USD for 0.32 fl oz .

 Advantages and Disadvantages of Gel Nails

Target of a popularity that is growing every day that passes, the gel nails have demonstrated the ability to offer the ideal solution for those seeking a durable and practical alternative to more traditional forms of maintenance of the nails. Appealing for its versatility and aesthetic results extended gel nails are a cosmetic option that deserves to be pondered by all women want nails with a healthy and sophisticated look.

Advantages of Gel Nails:

1 - Free of toxic materials

Unlike many traditional varnishes used, the gel nails speak in favor of your health, and its chemical composition is characterized by a mixture of hypoallergenic and can be used without worry.

2 - Protector effect

This does not always happen, but there is always a good chance if the number of maintenance sessions are not properly administered.

2 - Time and money spent in sessions

Prices can exceed 30 dollars, and the sessions extend over several hours. Although the quality is payable either in time and money, this is nonetheless one of the biggest disadvantages faced by those who have the habit of submitting to the whole process of getting gel nails, and is also responsible for a great distance of potential customers.

My Thoughts - I think it is worth the money (and time), but I still don’t know if im hooked on gel mani's for myself. It really is a perfect gift idea! It is a great value when you compare it to going to the salon and it would be awesome to do before a vacation where you don’t want to have to do touch ups. Your nails will look beautifully shiny even just with the cured top coat.Why Im not sure if im hooked on gel mani's yet is cause I had chipping after day 5 , however im aware that all polish will eventually chip or wear and you have to think about how often you use yours hand too , but I thought that was the whole point of a gel manicure is that it was to last up to 14 day before any of that happen , so with that being said i'm still gonna keep using this line of gel items and maybe change up some of my other base/top coats.. etc to see if I have better luck with them that way , overall I love these as a polish and how the application/texture and everything .
