DIY Pumpkin Face Mask

If you thought that pumpkins were best left for carving and making pies and just hanging around to make pretty decorations , think again.

Did you know pumpkins are actually great for your skin ? They are high in Vitamin C (anti-oxidant), Vitamin A (skin healing)  and Zinc they're even good for environmentally damaged or sensitive skin , In addition the pumpkin skin mask will soothe , moisturize and also help other mask ingredients to absorb deeper into your skin. This mask can be used on all skin types

Give your skin this healing mask for a healthy glow! 


What You Will Need
  •  2-3 Tbsp Cooked Or Canned Pumpkin Puree
  • 1-2 Tbsp Raw Or Organic Honey 
  • 1-2 Tbsp Milk ( Soy /Coconut/Almond)
  • Optional Ingredients Below 
  • Mixing Bowl , Spoon , Measuring Spoons
  • For dry skin: Add a bit of honey, which not only acts as a humectant, but also provides antiseptic properties through the natural sweetener , however you can also add  one teaspoon heavy whipping ( moisturizer) or one teaspoon of brown sugar( exfoliates) . 
  • For oily skin: For an astringent effect, mix in a splash of apple cider or cranberry juice.
Gently mix all the ingredients together until creamy .Smooth over and clean damp face avoid mouth and eyes . Relax and wait 15 to 25 mins rinse and pat dry , also don't forget to apply the appropriate moisturizer for your skin type apply moisturizer to suit your skin type.You most likely will have some left over , don't toss it just cover it up or put in a seal-able container and you for next time 


Benefit Breakdown Of Pumpkin-The same free-radical-neutralizing powers of the carotenoids in pumpkin that may keep cancer cells at bay can also help keep the skin wrinkle-free ,known for it’s fruit enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids, pumpkin is known to be beneficial to the skin by brightening and smoothing as well as increasing cell turnover. Pumpkin is also loaded with Vitamin A and C, which helps boost collagen production and prevent signs of aging. Ideal for dull/ oily acne prone skin. Most just think of pumpkins as a pretty decoration for the fall and later just toss it out after the season is over since you dont no what to do with it , however you never really know how it can help the body in the long run , Pumpkin isnt only good for protecting your skin from aging, but Pumpkin may help reduce your risk of cancers , weight loss , and even change your moods , fun thing about Pumpkin is , if you dont like facial mask or maybe eating in a soup or what not , make a power packed smoothie, it good for the whole body and the skin .
